My Favorite BNI StoryA lady wandered into Alan Davey’s ProntaPrint shop and is getting some printing done. She was complaining that her network printer was misbehaving so he passed her the BNI list and dropped me a line with her details. I went to see her today but I couldn’t fix the printer. They are overusing it like mad so I referred her to David Cole from CopyCare for a colour copier. We had a little 121. She can’t tell me exactly what they are doing until they launch in March. Currently there are seven in the team, going up to thirty by then. For the launch they need marketing, web design and social media help. I told her about our team and she is now very keen to come along for a visit and I’ve booked her in for two weeks’ time. She now has the BNI team info on her pin board. I asked where they were all going to sit if they are expanding and she said they will probably need new premises. So I told her about John Mager commercial property expert, Tamzin Stileman our solicitor and Gillian Boden our cleaning comapny. Finally, suggested a water cooler from Nick Swan's Love Water as it was very warm in there. She is now as keen as mustard. On the way back I’ve been on the phone to James Syme, a possible new member who specialises in Social Media and told him about it and how we’d love to give him the business but he would have to be a member. He is coming next week armed with an application form. All in all, some pretty impressive work for a chance meeting and passing over the BNI group list. Well done that Alan!
